With more than 50 years in the travel industry, David’s career has been built on senior marketing and leadership roles. He served as Marketing & Business Development Manager at Qantas Airways, General Manager – Marketing at Helloworld, and held key positions with Air New Zealand and major retail travel chains. This deep industry expertise, combined with his background as a Tourism Specialist, Marketing Consultant, and Travel Presenter, means he understands every aspect of travel – from logistics and operations to creating exceptional guest experiences.

David has personally visited and explored a remarkable range of destinations across Australia, the Pacific Islands, Asia, India, Japan, the USA, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, parts of Africa, and Egypt. He is also an avid cruiser, having sailed in Alaska, Mexico, Europe, and Scandinavia. This first-hand knowledge allows him to share authentic insights, practical tips, and hidden gems with travellers, while his calm, friendly, and attentive nature ensures everyone feels well cared for.
