Unna West
Calm, Caring & Adventurous

Unna West is a warm and experienced Tour Leader with Travelwise Holidays, known for her easy-going nature, calm confidence, and genuine love of discovery. Born and raised in Auckland, she brings energy and heartfelt connection to every journey, whether she is guiding through New Zealand or further afield. Guests quickly feel they are travelling with someone who is both capable and kind.

“I’m happiest when helping others discover the world’s beauty – one unforgettable experience at a time.”

Unna’s love of travel began through beauty therapy, which led to work on cruise ships around North America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She has a special affection for the Middle East and lived for a time in Turkey. In recent years she and her husband have explored Asia — including Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China — as well as South America, particularly Buenos Aires.

That hands-on experience across oceans and continents means she handles the unexpected with quiet competence, something guests often mention. She creates a relaxed, joyful atmosphere, shares hidden gems and local stories, and makes sure everyone feels looked after.

Travellers on Unna’s tours can look forward to warm hospitality, calm expertise, and a journey that feels personal, memorable, and full of discovery.
