Gillian Scott is an adventurous and creative Tour Leader with Travelwise Holidays, whose love of travel, sport, and storytelling brings energy and inspiration to every tour. She is the kind of guide travellers remember — fun, friendly, and full of unforgettable stories.

Gillian’s love of travel began at 20, when she drove an untrustworthy Combi around Europe for three months with friends. She later joined a major youth travel company and has been involved in the industry on and off ever since, leading tours across most continents. She has also taken sports groups to Australia and India, and most recently travelled through South Africa following the All Blacks. Cricket is her favourite game. Away from touring she enjoys watercolour painting and writing, and has published novels and shorter works.

Guests love her easy-going nature and the way she brings destinations to life. Whether in New Zealand or further afield, she fills the journey with laughter, discovery, and wonderful memories.
