Activity Level 3 - A higher level of fitness is required. There will be quite a bit of walking over a day. The terrain at times may be uneven and there may be high temperatures/ humidity.

TUE 18 AUG – AUCKLAND/DUBAI  

Depart Auckland on Emirates EK449 at 8.30pm. Arrive Dubai on Wed 19 Aug at 5.35am and proceed to your hotel where check in will be ready. At 1pm we commence a city tour taking in the Burj Khalifa and the aquarium at Dubai Mall. Included: D

THURS 20 AUG –  DUBAI/ZAGREB  

After breakfast, transfer out to the airport for your FlyDubai flight on EK 2012 departing Dubai at 9.20am and arrive into Zagreb 1.30pm. On arrival, transfer to a centrally located hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant in Zagreb. Included: B, D

FRI 21 AUG – ZAGREB

This morning enjoy a walking tour of Zagreb. Discover the highlights of the city with an expert local guide, who will show you the hidden gems of Croatia’s capital. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Included: B

SAT 22 AUG – ZAGREB/PLITVICE LAKES

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Morning departure towards the spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park. The oldest Croatian National Park & UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of 16 lakes connected by cascading waterfalls. Enjoy a visit to the park, strolling the wooden paths and nature trails surrounded by lush greenery and turquoise waters. This evening enjoy dinner at the hotel. Included: B, D

SUN 23 AUG – PLITVICE LAKES/TROGIR/SPLIT

After breakfast morning departure to Split with a stop in the coastal town of Trogir, built in the 15th century & a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll the charming Old Town and enjoy free time for lunch. Continue to Split, well known for its archaeological, historical and cultural monuments including the famous Palace of Diocletian, inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List. This evening enjoy dinner at the hotel. Included: B, D

MON 24 AUG - SPLIT/KLIS/SPLIT

This morning enjoy a guided walking tour of Split Old Town, made up of Diocletian’s Palace and the Historical Complex including its cellars, which all form part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the fascinating historic background of the palace dating back to Roman times, meander through the medieval labyrinth of streets and learn about how the city has been modified over the centuries to become what it is today - the city's living heart. Later, continue to a unique estate outside of Split, where you will visit their ethno-village to learn about traditional Dalmatian life & the production of local delicacies. Enjoy an Olive Oil Tasting & Lunch. After returning to Split enjoy evening at leisure. Included: B, L

TUE 25 AUG - SPLIT/STARI GRAD/HVAR

After breakfast at the hotel, departure from Split Port to the neighbouring Island of Hvar, known for its purple lavender fields, oil production, robust red wines from the steep vineyards, and enjoying the status of Croatia’s sunniest island. After arrival to Stari Grad port by ferry, travel to Hvar Town - often referred to as the Monte Carlo of Croatia, making it a popular choice with the international jetsetters. This evening enjoy dinner at the hotel.  Included: B, D

WED 26 AUG - HVAR

This morning, enjoy a morning walking town of Hvar Old Town. With a centuries old tradition in tourism, Hvar is recognised for its rich historical heritage including the Renaissance Cathedral, Franciscan Monastery, and oldest community theatre in Europe. After some free time, spend a glorious afternoon experiencing the essence of authentic Hvar island gastronomy. On your culinary journey your will learn and taste what it takes to create a perfect honey, olive oil, wine and fascinating sweet delicacies that have been made for hundreds of years. Enjoy a rustic field lunch at a local winery estate, followed by an evening at leisure in Hvar. Included: B, T, L

THURS 27 AUG - HVAR

Breakfast at the hotel and day at leisure to enjoy Hvar at your own pace. Relax by the pool or at one of the nearby beaches, explore Fortica, the Spanish Fortress built in the sixteenth century offering stunning views of the sea, town and surrounding islands, or take a boat excursion to enjoy the amazing hidden coves and beaches of Hvar and the nearby Pakleni Islands. FRI 28 AUG - HVAR/STARI GRAD/SPLIT/MAKARSKA

After breakfast at the hotel and check out, departure back to Split by ferry from Stari Grad. Continue south towards the stunning seaside town of Makarska, located in the centre of the Makarska Riviera. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure exploring this charming town popular for its wide promenade with bustling bars and cafes, and long pebbled beach looking onto picturesque islands. Enjoy evening at leisure in Makarska. Included: B

SAT 29 AUG - MAKARSKA

Breakfast at the hotel and morning at leisure. This afternoon head into the hinterland to one of Dalmatia’s leading wine producers, where the grapevines have been cultivated since ancient times. Learn about local wine history, traditions and vinification and enjoy wine tasting paired with snacks/light lunch prepared from local ingredients. After returning to Makarska the rest of your evening is at leisure.  Included: B, T

SUN 30 AUG  -MAKARSKA - OREBIĆ - KORČULA

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Travel south enjoying panoramic scenery of the famous vineyards, beautiful countryside and old settlements of the Pelješac Peninsula before crossing by ferry, to the Island of Korčula. Korčula boasts over a thousand years of history as well as areas of pristine nature. Once a Venetian stronghold, the Old Town of Korčula is the reputed birthplace of the famous world-traveller and writer, Marco Polo. After settling in enjoy free time before dinner at the hotel. MON 31 AUG - KORČULA

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a morning guided walking tour of Korčula Old Town, a masterwork of ancient architecture and urban planning, and one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean. Walk through history with visits to the Bishop's Palace, home to hidden town treasures, and the Cathedral of St Mark, showcasing the skill of Korčula's stone masons. The rest of your day is at leisure to explore the Old Town further, enjoy swimming in the brilliantly clear sea, and sample local specialities such as hand rolled “Makaruni” pasta washed down with some excellent local wine.

TUE 01 SEP - KORČULA - OREBIĆ - MALI STON - DUBROVNIK

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. This morning return to the mainland by ferry. Journey south to the Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. On route stop in Mali Ston at a family owned oyster farm for an unforgettable tasting experience. Learn about oyster farming in the Mali Ston Bay dating back to ancient Roman times. Taste oysters unique to the area and local, traditionally prepared mussels paired with local wine. After arrival in Dubrovnik enjoy the rest of your afternoon and evening at leisure Included: B, T

WED 02 SEP - DUBROVNIK

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning enjoy a guided walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town, one of the world's most beautifully preserved medieval cities. Take the cable car from the Old Town to Mount Srđ to enjoy scenic views of the Walls and the Elaphiti Islands. Explore this fantastic UNESCO World Heritage Site and learn about its history and monuments. The Old Town holds some of the most valued landmarks of Croatian historical and cultural heritage. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace, now a history museum. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure Included: B

THURS 03 SEP - DUBROVNIK

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy your day at leisure. Spend a day relaxing at the beach or by the pool, take a trip to Lokrum Island’s nature reserve or explore more of the Old Town. Visit the Old Pharmacy in Dubrovnik Old Town, wander through the cloister of the Franciscan Monastery, visit Dubrovnik Cathedral or take a walk along the old medieval ramparts (it will take you approximately 2 hours to do a full circle) and be transported into a different time zone. This evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant. Included: B, D

FRI 04 SEP - DUBROVNIK/DUBAI

Breakfast at the hotel and morning at leisure before your group departure transfer to Dubrovnik Airport. Depart Dubrovnik on FlyDubai EK 2075 at 2.20pm Arrive Dubai 9.50pm. Overnight in Dubai for 1 night. Included: B

SAT 05 SEP - DUBAI/AUCKLAND

Depart Dubai on EK 448 at 10.05am and fly over night. Arrive Auckland Sun 06 Sep and you will be transferred to your home. Included: B
