Depart Auckland at 10.25am and arrive in New Plymouth at 11.20am. Visit Pukekura Park botanical garden - a Garden of National Significance, created in 1876. Offering an amazingrange of native and exotic plants displayed in a natural setting, including The Fernery and Display Houses which have been a must-see for almost a century. FRI 06 NOV - STRATFORD, PIONEER VILLAGE, MOUNTAIN LODGE LUNCH
Head to Stratford, a playground for literary lovers with its Shakespearean identity. It’s glockenspiel is unique to New Zealand. Shakespeare’s most famous star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, will emerge for the balcony scene. Take a nostalgic stroll through yesteryear at the Pioneer Village outdoor museum. Savour lunch at the picturesque Mountain Lodge alpine retreat, 3,100ft high on the slopes of Mount Taranaki. Return to the hotel for a free afternoon to relax before dinner at the hotel. SAT 07 NOV - GARDEN TOURING
Enjoy a full day of garden touring. Visit incredible private and public gardens, from sprawling estates to inner city sanctuaries, all will showcase their beauty, diversity and creativity.We will return to the hotel approximately 4pm. Enjoy dinner at a local venue tonight. Included: B, D
SUN 08 NOV - GARDEN TOURING
Following breakfast, we set off for more spectacular gardens, breathtaking scenery and our chance to learn from passionate gardeners. A change of pace is also included today, with a visit to the Elvis Presley Museum in Hawera, and we will travel along the scenic coastline via Ōpunake Beach back to New Plymouth. Dinner tonight is at the Vineyard Bistro at Okurukuru Winery. Soak in the wonderful coastal and mountain views, before returning to the hotel approximately 7-7.30pm. Included: B, D
