ITINERARY

WED 14 APR - AUCKLAND/QUEENSTOWN/WANAKA

Depart Auckland on Air New Zealand at 10.45am, arrive in Queenstown at 12.40pm, where we will enjoy time for lunch at the popular Odelay Café at The Landing (own expense) before travelling through spectacular alpine scenery to Wānaka. This evening, unwind with a happy hour cruise on beautiful Lake Wānaka, taking in the stunning mountain scenery and peaceful surroundings as the sun begins to set. Dinner is included tonight at the hotel. Stay Wanaka Hotel, 2 nights. Included: D

THU 15 APR - WANAKA/LAKE HAWEA/GLEN DENE STATION

Today begins with a visit to one of New Zealand’s most photographed landmarks, the famous Wānaka Tree. Continue to picturesque Lake Hāwea, with a stop enroute at the much loved Pembroke Patisserie in Albert Town. Enjoy a memorable farm visit and lunch at Glen Dene Station, surrounded by magnificent high country scenery. Back in Wanaka, we visit the National Transport & Toy Museum, home to a fascinating collection of vintage vehicles and memorabilia. Dinner is included tonight at the hotel. Included: B, L, D

FRI 16 APR - WANAKA/CARDRONA/QUEENSTOWN

Depart Wānaka this morning and travel the scenic Crown Range Road towards Queenstown. Along the way we stop at the historic Cardrona Hotel, one of New Zealand’s oldest and most iconic country pubs, perfect for photos and a coffee break.  We also stop to view the world famous AJ Hackett Bungy site before arriving at Gibbston Valley for a light lunch surrounded by Central Otago vineyards. Arrive in Queenstown this afternoon with free time to relax or explore at your own pace before dinner this evening at the hotel. Stay Novotel Queenstown, 3 nights.  Included: B, L, D

SAT 17 APR - QUEENSTOWN/ARROWTOWN AUTUMN FESTIVAL

Enjoy a scenic morning sightseeing tour of Queenstown including a drive up Coronet Peak for spectacular panoramic views across the Wakatipu Basin and surrounding mountains. We then visit charming Arrowtown where you’ll have time to explore the historic streets, enjoy lunch at leisure and experience the lively atmosphere of the famous Arrowtown Autumn Festival. A short drive from Arrowtown is Ayrburn, a wonderful dining precinct where we will enjoy a wine tasting at the stylish Barrel Room before dinner at The Woolshed. After dinner, we return to our hotel in Queenstown. Included: B, D


SUN 18 APR - QUEENSTOWN

This morning is free for you to relax or explore Queenstown. Later, stroll down to the wharf to board the historic TSS Earnslaw for a memorable cruise to Walter Peak High Country Farm. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch while surrounded by some of the South Island’s most spectacular scenery. This evening is yours to enjoy at leisure with Queenstown’s many restaurants and cafés close by.  Included:  B, L


MON 19 APR - QUEENSTOWN/AUCKLAND

Before departing Queenstown, enjoy one final highlight with a ride aboard the Skyline Gondola for breathtaking views across Queenstown, Lake Whakatipu and the Remarkables.  We then transfer to Queenstown Airport for our Air New Zealand flight to Auckland, departing at 1.25pm. Arrive Auckland 3.15pm, and transfer home (if applicable). Included: B
