ITINERARY

THU 10 OCT - AUCKLAND/ PERTH   D                                  

This morning you will be picked up from your Auckland address and transferred to the airport for your Air NZ flight direct to Perth departing Auckland at 1.35 pm. Arrive in Perth at 4.00 pm and transfer to the Holiday Inn Perth City Centre where you will stay for the next four nights.

FRI 11 OCT - SWAN VALLEY & WILDFLOWERS   B,D        

Depart to the picturesque Swan Valley region. Travel through historic Guildford to the Swan Valley, Western Australia’s first wine-growing region. Hand feed kangaroos and see the koalas at Caversham Wildlife Park. Visit the Margaret River Chocolate Factory and sample their delicious chocolates. A visit to Lancaster Wines for wine tasting & then lunch at Swan Valley (own expense) followed by local wildflower sightseeing in the afternoon. This evening enjoy a 2-course dinner at your hotel.

SAT 12 OCT - BEST OF PERTH & FREMANTLE     B,D            

Depart for a day of touring both Perth & Fremantle. An orientation of Perth and a visit to Kings Park for a tree-top guided walk.  Continue with a visit to one of Perth’s best beaches Cottesloe Beach, before arriving at the historic port town of Fremantle. Free time here then return to the Holiday Inn Perth and spend the afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a Swan River Dinner Cruise this evening.

SUN 13 OCT - PERTHS ‘BEST WILDFLOWER TOUR’   B,L,D

A day tour to various locations on Perth’s outskirts in search of the finest wildflowers. A profusion of flowers varies daily and is dependent on sunshine. Areas such as the Chittering Valley, Bindoon, Victoria Plains and Toodyay often provide good viewing. The tour includes a picnic lunch. This evening enjoy a 2-course dinner at your hotel.

MON 14 OCT - PERTH/MARGARET RIVER    B,L,D          

Depart for a 3-day tour to the Margaret River region. Travel south through farmland and by coastal towns to Busselton. Visit some wildflower spots in the area and lunch at one of Margaret River’s oldest breweries. Continue south to Mammoth Cave for a guided tour. Then on to Margaret's Beach Resort where you will stay for the next two nights.

TUE 15 OCT - MARGARET RIVER   B,L,D

This morning head south through Boranup Forest to Augusta. Visit Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, the dividing point between the Southern & Indian Oceans. Enjoy a gourmet lunch at a local Winery and visits to a local chocolate and cheese factory before heading back towards Margaret River. Enjoy a free and easy afternoon depending on location of local wildflowers.

WED 16 OCT - MARGARET RIVER/PERTH   B,L,D      

This morning depart Margaret River and head towards Donnybrook and Harvey areas to view the wildflowers. Enjoy a light lunch en route and continue north via Mandurah, arriving in Perth late afternoon. Transfer to the Holiday Inn Perth City Centre where you will stay for the next three nights. Dinner is included this evening.

THU 17 OCT - ‘WILDFLOWERS’ KINGS PARK    B              

This morning, depart the hotel and transfer to nearby Kings Park, home to the annual Wildflower Festival, to view the impressive wildflower displays. Included are spectacular displays of Western Australian wildflowers in bloom both in the botanical gardens and across the park. Enjoy a walking tour around the wildflowers with a Kings Park guide. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. This evening freedom dining.

FRI 18 OCT – ROTTNEST ISLAND DAY TOUR   B,L                                              

This morning, transfer from the hotel for your ferry to Rottnest Island. Enjoy the Grand Island Tour which includes all the must-see locations, Captain Hussey return train to Oliver Hill, a guided tour of Oliver Hill Guns & Tunnels and a light lunch. Transfer back late afternoon.

SAT 19 OCT – DAY AT LEISURE     B                                    

Morning at leisure in Perth with a late check out before transferring to Perth Airport. Join your Air New Zealand flight NZ176 direct to Auckland departing at 7.50pm.

SUN 20 OCT – ARRIVE AUCKLAND

Arrive in Auckland at 7.15am where you will be transferred to your home address or continue with your own homeward arrangements.
