Michelle Skelton is a warm and adventurous Tour Leader with Travelwise Holidays, whose lifelong passion for travel and genuine love of people make every journey memorable. Originally from Yorkshire, she has called New Zealand home for more than 22 years — though she happily admits the accent and the sense of humour remain firmly intact.

Michelle trained as a nurse in the UK, including work in Emergency Departments, before fulfilling her dream of becoming a flight attendant. Across more than 30 years in the air, in both the UK and New Zealand, she travelled extensively and met people from all over the world. Now retired, she and her husband still chase adventure — exploring Europe by motorhome, road-tripping through Argentina, camping in Kazakhstan, and travelling overland by train from the UK to Hong Kong.
She knows that while the destinations are unforgettable, it is often the people you meet who create the memories that last. Guests value her calm, caring nature and infectious humour.
