ITINERARY

 

MON 23 DEC:  AUCKLAND/ROTORUA  (D)

Morning travel to Rotorua via Hamilton.Arrive Rotorua and enjoy Skyline Gondola ride for panoramic views. View Ohinemutu and Government Gardens. Stay Sudima Hotel, Rotorua (1 night).

TUE 24 DEC:  ROTORUA SIGHTSEEING/WAIRAKEI  (B,D)

Enjoy Agrodome farm show, Rainbow Springs guided tour and visits to the Redwood Forest and Blue/Green Lakes. Afternoon travel to Wairakei. On arrival visit Lava Glass Blowing Studio & Sculpture Garden. Stay Wairakei Resort, Taupo (2 nights).

 

WED 25 DEC:  CHATEAU EXCURSION  (B,L,D)

Travel from Wairakei to Chateau/National Park for sightseeing. Visit Chateau Tongariro hotel for refreshments and ‘Top of the Bruce’ for panoramic views (weather permitting). Ride NZ’s largest gondola ‘Sky Waka’ to Knoll Ridge Chalet. Travel 1.8 km through rugged and spectacular landscapes (NB. Operation Christmas Day is subject to confirmation). Early evening enjoy special Christmas buffet dinner at Wairakei Resort.

THU 26 DEC:  WAIRAKEI/TOKOROA/AUCKLAND  (B)

View thermal district and Huka Falls. Visit Honey Hive Taupo. Travel to Auckland via Tokoroa and Hamilton.
