ITINERARY

FRI 20 DEC - AUCKLAND/NORFOLK ISLAND  (D)

Transfer to Auckland Airport. Fly Air Chathams, depart Auckland 9.00 am, arrive Norfolk Island 9.20 am.  Transfer to Paradise Hotel and Resort where you will stay for the next seven nights.  Enjoy 'Night as a Convict' dinner in the evening.

SAT 21 DEC - SIGHTSEEING TOUR & PITCAIRNS SETTLERS VILLAGE  (B,D)

This morning, go back in history with a visit to the convict ruins of the famous penal settlement.  Hear about the settlers who followed from Pitcairn Island and learn interesting facts about Norfolk Island today - the government, immigration laws and lifestyle.

In the afternoon transfer to the Pitcairns Settlers Village and experience the history and culture of the Pitcairn Settlers.  View the magnificent homestead gardens, including many of the traditional crops.  Ride in Norfolks first tour coach, a model A Ford.  View a film, visit a blacksmith's forge, the original homestead, a WWII Army hut and Museum of Memorabilia.

Enjoy a Progressive Dinner to Island homes in the evening.

SUN 22 DEC - CONVICT SETTLEMENT TOUR  (B,D)

Enjoy the morning at leisure.  Early afternoon travel back in time with a trip through the Historic Georgian settlement of Kingston.  Visit the convict and colonial cemetery, old homes, the convict gaol ruins, All Saints Church and the restore Military Barracks - now the Legislative Assembly.  Tour includes afternoon tea.  Enjoy dinner at the Hilli Restaurant.

MON 23 DEC - BEHIND THE HEDGES & GREENFINGERS TOUR  (B,D)

This morning travel to Anson Bay to visit a smally hobby farm.  Close by enjoy a demonstration at Norfolks major pottery and browse the Cottage Pottery Shop.  This afternoon enjoy a tour featuring some of the Islands most lovely gardens.  Enjoy dinner at hotel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TUE 24 DEC - CHEESE TOUR, ISLAND FISH FRY & WONDERLAND BY NIGHT  (B,D)

Visit a local farm with beautiful ocean views, meet the milk cows, try the milking machine, see beehives, hear about producing the local honey and sample the range of cheeses.  Early evening enjoy a feast of island dishes, salads, homemade bread and fresh fried fish followed by Island desserts and tea/coffee as the sun sets over Norfolk's western coastline at Puppies Point.  

Following dinner, depart for 'Wonderland by Night' Tour.  View 10 acres of magical Norfolk Pines and bush land lit up like an enchanted forest.

WED 25 DEC - CHRISTMAS DAY  (B,L,D)

Enjoy a special Christmas Buffet Lunch with all the trimmings at Paradise Hotel and Resort.  The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure.  Enjoy a light supper in the evening at the hotel.

THU 26 DEC - TIN-AN-AII TOUR  (B,D)

 

Enjoy a leisurely day.  Experience a Tin-an-aii tour including scenic highlights - a great opportunity to take photos. Enjoy dinner at hotel.

FRI 27 DEC - NORFOLK/AUCKLAND  (B)

 

Fly Air Chathams, depart 10.20 am, arrive Auckland 2.40 pm.  Transfer to your Auckland address or continue with your own homeward arrangements.
